Deadlines are the time that completed work must be submitted, as unsubmitted work cannot be included in the feedback process even if it is complete.
Most deadlines will be on Fridays at 5:00pm. Late submissions will be accepted up until the following Monday at 5:00pm (up to 72 hours late) for most Participation assignments.
Most Lab and Feedback assignments may also be submitted late. However, students will not receive peer feedback on late Lab submissions and must reach out on Piazza for how to complete the associated Feedback assignment.
Assignments related to peer feedback or in-class activities may have different deadlines and may not be submitted late. This includes some Feedback and Project assignments. Late submissions will also not be accepted after the end of the semester.
There is no limit on the number of assignments that may be submitted late, however late submissions impact grades due to their impact on Feedback assignments. Visit the Grading section for details.

Deadlines are utilized in both academic and practice to push forward progress and set expectations. In practice, deadlines have varying consequences when missed. For example, missing an internal deadline for a software project might have few consequences if the external deadlines are still met. Missing a major deadline, however, can cause an entire project to fail.
