This category of assignments tracks in-class attendance and weekly participation. Students should expect to attend 2 lectures and participate at least once most weeks.

Weekly participation may be in-class or outside of class. Examples of in-class participation include (but are not limited to):

• Asking questions either by raising your hand or posting on the PollEv poll
• Speaking up during in-class discussions
• Responding to in-class PollEv polls
• Interacting with the instructor during class
• Interacting with classmates during class

Examples of out-of-class participation include (but are not limited to):

• Visiting instructor drop-in student/office hours
• Visiting grutoring hours
• Participating in a public (optionally anonymous) Piazza post
• Attending relevant professional or networking events

Students may propose other forms of participation in a public Piazza post.
